One of the classic landmarks of my painting style here becomes the cradle of the 9 Sicilian provinces, which are mixed together. The idea is to combine their most representative symbols as well as to bring them together, eliminating divisions and parochialism, creating a unique perspective of being Sicilian. Isola Bella in Taormina. The corals of Trapani and Erice. Porta Garibaldi in Catania. The tower of Federico II in Enna and the Triton Fountain in Caltanissetta. The ceramics from Sciacca and Santo Stefano di Camastra. Syracuse Cathedral, Politeama Theatre and Arabian Domes in Palermo. Ragusa Ibla and Cefalù; the Madonnina in Messina. The temples of Agrigento; the islands of Stromboli and Basiluzzo. The little church of Lampedusa. Oranges, Wine, Cannoli, Cassata and Spaghetti with sea urchins. The zodiac, the clothes hanging and the alleys; the sky and the sea. The sun of our land reigns supreme over everything on board of Sicilia in Lapa.

“Sicilia in Lapa”
it is a tribute to our island, in the vain attempt to be able to get on board as much as possible, but realizing alas, that I should have done at least a dozen paintings, just to represent half of the wonders of this land.
